While we're working on new episodes for the podcast, I've got some more ruminations.

I'm twirling around in my head. You know what? I think I'm going to jump in on this one.

Just like that. Just like that. Okay. Okay. So I wanted to throw a topic at you. And it's kind of an

unpopular thing to talk about, but I think it's real.

In parenting, if you have boys and girls, I think most parents have different expectations,

different requirements. There's just some differences in the way you approach boys and girls.

And so I want, as our babies have just turned 18 and we're reflecting on this journey,

like, what do you think about that?

Have you noticed that you have different expectations of the boys and the girls,

that you approach things differently?

Like, just what is it like parenting boys and girls?

I mean, for the boys, deep inside me, I feel like I wanted them to be stronger, my expectations for them to be stronger, demonstrate

more leadership. But then when I think about all the kids,

I don't know, they are about the same,

but my expectations for how forthright they are

is different.

I really hadn't thought about it that much,

but it's definitely different.

I, well, you know, I've probably been harder on the boys in every aspect,
