Summary

Hurricane Sandy has forced RAW Talk host Jared Polin (FroKnowsPhoto.com) and frequent collaborator Adam Lerner to reach into the archives to pull out a completely unheard discussion they recorded about six months earlier. Topics include the critera for taking a job and how to develop your own pricing. You can submit your questions for future episodes of RAW Talk to podcast@froknowsphoto.com. Hey there, Fro Nation, this is Jared Pol and I'm recovering from a cold. That's right.

0:11.4

And a lot of us are getting back from Hurricane Sandy. I know Adam was not really stuck,

0:17.7

but yeah, I guess he was stuck because you couldn't get gas. You couldn't get a lot of things out of Brooklyn and in New York. Here in PA, where I'm at, a lot of houses were without

0:26.3

power for two, three, four days. I luckily didn't have power go out for terribly too long, really

0:32.0

60 seconds, and then it came back on. We were very, very lucky this time around. But because of all of those factors and all

0:38.9

of that stuff, we weren't able to make an actual podcast this week. But the good news is many,

0:45.2

many months ago, maybe about six months ago, Adam and I sat down with the idea of doing a weekly

0:50.5

type podcast and I actually pulled this one out of the archives. We recorded three back

0:56.3

in the day and they were different, a little different than what we were doing more recently and

1:00.8

I really want to get back to interviewing more people, but that's been made a little bit more

1:04.3

difficult with Photo Plus and going around and having a lot of other work to do. We'll try,

1:10.8

well, I will try to get back to the other style, especially being at home.

1:14.3

It's not as easy to invite people over to get into the podcast, like in the city where they

1:19.1

came over to my house.

1:20.1

We recorded the podcast.

1:21.3

We had Liora come in.

1:22.4

We had Ritchie come in.

1:23.6

But I want to get back to that.

1:25.0

And I definitely want to bring you more. But this week, we had to dive back into the archives and pull out this recording that one day was going to turn into a podcast. And I guess that day is today. So yeah, it's a little different than what we've been doing lately. but I think there is still some really good

1:45.0

information in there. So enjoy that. And I want to remind you that we did just announce a

1:51.5

boot camp in San Francisco on January 5th, 2013. That's a Saturday. So you can sign up,

1:58.3

check out the website, click on the boot camps tab, and you can sign up for that boot camp.
