Yeah, we have black bears here and I always worry when I leave the barn on foot late at night because we're right on the edge of the woods and people see bears.

That was the famous scene of John Candy being stuck underneath the door right and they blow the hair. He's already has the hair blowed off his head and then he gets the hair blowed off the other side of his body.

Right. That's the famous spot there. Right. I haven't seen that film. You've never seen the great outdoors. I'm shocked by that. I really am. You would like that. I think you need to put that on. It's a classic. It for the most part holds through the test of time. It does is Dan Acroid and John Candy. I suggest it. I think you need to do it down on the barn. You know, when you're thinking about bears, go watch the great outdoors. It'll make you feel better.

I was thinking about things other than bears last night. We had an exciting and unprecedented evening. It all began around eight thirty nine o'clock power outage. The entire hill went dark. We always just look out the windows and confirm when the power was out. It is out.

Understand or just random thing. Wow. Okay. Dust a wind. I don't know what it was. I don't know what it was. But the neighborhoods below us. Black. And there's always lights on somewhere because people have generator or people have solar lights or whatever. But we confirmed that it was an incident where the power is out. And we have a generator generator, which I didn't realize when we moved in here nearly nine years ago to the day.

It's like a car engine in a big metal box that needs to be properly maintained. Get it looked out once a year and they have to change the oil on the generator. So the generator had been working fine keywords had and been because immediately last night. I should have realized that I didn't know enough. I now do about the inconsistencies and the idiosyncrasies of a generator.

There were some outside lights that were flickering a little bit. Okay, fine. That happens. Little flickering of the lights never heard anybody. So I went down to the barn because I was determined to go down to the barn and have a cigar last night.

The generator does not power the barn. So I'll go down and light some candles and old school like they did in the pioneer days, right. Work by candlelight. And I had my laptop fully charged. So I had that going for me. So there I was last night. It was nice. Took a couple of new candles down to provide a little extra illumination. And I was having a good old time and playing some music from my phone because the system in the barn was out. And we don't have the picture of you in Winston Churchill.

There, there we go. That's what I wanted to see right there. Damn, look at you hanging out with high society right there. Man, our people like a guy's guys sports are going to love that right there.

It's like a say on it's last night. And apparently the spirits that were mustard attacked the house. So I got a call from my son that I have a video game, an old school retro 3000 plus game unit.

In our basement up at the house. And he said that video game that you bought is doing something weird. It smells funny. Something's wrong. You need to come up and I'm like, oh, great. Let's drop everything. Drive up. Make sure everything's fine. And what happened was long story.

There was long story, bearable. The generator is malfunctioning. The generator, which also I've learned can happen. The generator started throwing power surges to the house.

And it blew out the search protector that this game is plugged into to the point where the things stunk like it was that plastic.

Yeah, right. Yeah, nasty, nasty. And other areas of the house were damaged by the search protector, including one spot where because that smell was elsewhere.

And we have like utility room where we have all of our technology that's there. And there was one spot where I felt the plug. And it was hot. And I pulled it out. And you could see the burn marks in the outlet from the search.

Yeah. So our furnaces slash air conditioners are offline. They aren't working. So I have to have that guy come out and check everything out. I got a long list.

Is it still 80 degrees there right now? Is it like? And it's warm up here. Right.

It's warm up here. I was and everything up here was offline. So I had to get that working. And as of 15 minutes ago, it wasn't working.

So I'm thinking, well, at least I won't bake up in my studio. Fingers crossed, it stays not working. I was going to be my wine seller. Where's my backup spot is located where or where is this the case may be.

And about five minutes to air Courtney texted and called to say, hey, we got your shot backup. And I'm thinking, that's great. And then I'm begging, I'm going to bake for two hours up in the attic above the garage.
