So, we started off the day, or rather the evening, with a series of restless sleep and dreams.

Some of us gained the benefit of a long rest.

Others did not.

We awoke in the morning dealing with the concerns of why Hakata's worsening condition and also the concerns of a missing Sophia

who is alive but not in her house. And in fact, we waited there for a very long time and she did not

show up. So collectively, we agreed that we would check out the tower of one Van Richten, which thankfully, our newfound friend, Yaspur,

had some understanding of its location. So between he and Yahakeda, we were able to scout our way

over there. We arrived at the tower to no fanfare other than a strange cart placed outside the tower and the tower itself being pretty plain and sort of unadorned other than a door.

We attempted to knock on the door where the tower was struck by lightning that

arced to literally everything else the cart ourselves the trees the ground

the land it was not a good time so unfortunately we took a lot of damage and then one of us

had the cool idea to knock on the door instead of trying to pick the lock.

And we got struck by lightning again.

It was super cool and totally avoidable.

Then we decided to examine the cart out front.

When it was determined that it could potentially be trapped, we opened the door and were subjected to an explosion of dubious amounts of damage, dropping a couple of us who then required some immediate assistance to avoid bleeding out and dying before we ever got in the tower.

Thankfully, however, we were eventually able to realize that there was a puzzle on the door

that required the activation of several different schools of magic in a specific order.

So with a great heaping of spells from the collectible casters that we have with us.

We were able to crack the code, open the door with much less pain involved.

Found our way inside where there was a collection of four golems whose sole purpose was to operate an Elevatus,

a mechanical object platform that allowed us to go up and down the tower.
