My guess may just be the most multi-layered individual we have ever had on the podcast.

He may have played many characters during his travels in professional wrestling,

but I don't believe he ever strayed very far from who he really was in or out of the ring.

Now, people really didn't discover

that until he became, who most remember him as, and of course, no MS today, Raven, also known

as Scott Levy. Scott, thank you so much for coming on prime time. How are you? Oh, no problem,

man. It's a pleasure. Okay, Scott. So before we went on the air, you said you didn't think we'd ever met.

And I'm going to take you back, because I think you're going to remember this.

Before I went to work with the WWF in 1988, I worked for Major League Baseball Productions in New York.

And I did this show. I was a producer trying to get out. You know, I did a lot of talent stuff when I could. I wrote and did all the everything. So I got to work on this show called Light Moments and Sports with Joe Namath. And I was a producer on the show, but they wanted to be able to go out and do these different segments with sports and this kind of thing.

It was a blooper show.

It was like one of the first ones that was ever syndicated out there.

So one of the stories we did, they wanted to do professional wrestling.

And we hooked up with Larry Sharp, and I went out there and I did a story, you know, for the show. And

it was a lot of fun. We didn't go, you know, the whole approach was, you know, have respect for it,

but have a good time with it. And I was kind of the idiot reporter who they destroy. And I, I know for a, I mean,

what I remember, Scotty the body. And I I think you at peace with me. Do you remember that? Vaguely. It was it the airport hangar where you had to. Yes. Yeah, I know I vaguely remember that. Yeah, it was, I think it was they selected. It was Larry, we said, you know, get us a couple of guys who are, you know, your top guys who would like to be in this piece. And I think you did it and I can't, I wish I could remember the other guy. But I got to thinking about this, you know, doing my research for the, for the show. And I'm like, I think that was Scotty. I think that. Yeah, yeah. That was... I do vaguely remember that.

So anyway, so in an indirect...

Well, you kind of played a role in me getting to the WWF because apparently one of Vince's people saw it because it was airing in New York.

And I knew a guy that had worked at Major League Baseball who had gone to work for Vince. He said, I know that guy. So it was just all connected. Wow. Like, isn't that amazing, though, when I think back? Yeah, it's crazy. Yeah, all these connections. But I guess that was kind of the beginning. I don't know, you were in your early 20s, I think, at the time.

Yeah, I just graduated college, and I was still in the Marine Corps Reserve.
