This week on The Business, will changes to the way movies get their ratings change what you see on the big screen?

We'll talk to the head of the

MPAA's ratings board about what's new and why. And what's the difference between an R and

PG-13? Well, $20 million. Rated F for Fabulous! It's the business from NPR.

We'll get to the changes in the movie rating system in a minute, but first a report from the Cannes Film Festival.

We normally talk to a journalist or producer or some other hardened, grizzled veteran of this venerable French film festival,

but this year the business producer Matt Holesman checked in with Debbie Adler, a former KCRW employee and Can Virgin.

How are you?

I'm great.

Where are you?

I'm in the south of France in Cannes.

Where are you exactly right now? Where are we speaking to you?

I'm in the business center of the Majestic Hotel,

and the Majestic is quite a scene. It's directly across from the Palais, and there's a

premiere starting right now. So as I was approaching this evening, all of the paparazzi were

out front, and, you know, Harvey walked out in his unfinished, undone talks on his way to whatever the premiere was this evening.
