Summary

The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1:

  • On Thursday, the House of Representatives advanced legislation that would prevent biological males from competing in women’s sports. Ari Blaff of National Review writes, “[t]he House measure seeks to amend federal law so that ‘sex shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth,’ in order to determine Title IX athletics compliance. Title IX mandates that institutions that receive public funding from the federal government cannot discriminate on the basis of sex.” The bill passed along partisan lines—"with 219 Republicans voting in favor and 203 Democrats voting against.” You can read more here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/zero-house-democrats-vote-to-protect-womens-sports-from-male-intrusion/
  • While appearing on Real Time with Bill Maher, Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) baselessly accused NCAA swimming champion Riley Gaines—who advocate for the rights of biologically female athletes—of simply speaking out for “likes and clicks.”
  • Henry gets cancelled for drinking English breakfast tea.
  • On Tuesday, high school volleyball player Payton McNabb spoke to the North Carolina legislature and documented the extensive injuries she suffered while competing against a biological male. After being struck by a volleyball spiked by the male competitor, McNabb suffered a concussion and neck injuries and is still dealing with impaired vision and partial paralysis.
  • If you were a single woman, which profession would you find more attractive? New York City Rat Czar or Pentagon UFO Czar? Rich, Matt, and Henry debate—listeners weigh-in.

Saturday June 3rd. It's going to be so fantastic. All right. Now, here's the thing. Just so you know, women, house Republicans, just moments ago, passed a bill to protect women's athletics and not a single Democrat voted for it. And the Democrats and the White

House have come out and said, we are on the side of transgender women, meaning men who are acting like they think they can be women. We're on the side of that. They are way out of the majority view on this. I mean, it's a super majority that thinks it's

crazy. I'm telling you right now, the Democrats have decided to double down on a very small group of people. The transgender community in this country is not very big. But transgender athletes in this country is not a huge consistency. Meanwhile, there are lots of women athletes in this country, who do not like the idea of a bio dude coming around and beating them in a sport or taking their spot on a team after they have worked their entire life getting there.

2:18.4

So Republicans have said we're on the side of women. We're going to protect women. We're going to protect women's athletics. We're going to make sure that your little girl who's worked so hard and sacrificed so much to get there has an even playing field and can absolutely make sure that she can compete. And we are going to fight to defend title nine, which is there to protect women sports.

2:42.4

And Democrats have said we're going to go with the transgender radicals who believe that yes, not only can a man say he's a woman, but that that man should be able to play against a woman and beat her at a team, beat her to sport.

2:57.4

And this is the ultimate cultural battle right now. It's always amazing how the left always has to try to stoke a culture war. They're losing this one though.

3:07.4

This is not gay marriage. This is not gays in the military from the 90s. This is a fringe group of people that believe biological men should be able to compete in women's athletics.

3:21.4

That's it. That's that's what we're talking about here. We're talking about a very small group of people and the Democrats have doubled down on that.

3:29.4

And you know, Riley Gaines, who's a great person who's out there all the time and she's always on TV and she's talking about fighting for women's athletics.

3:38.4

Riley Gaines is now public enemy number one because she said I shouldn't have to lose a spot to somebody like Leah Thomas from Penn.

3:46.4

Leah Thomas came out and said, well, you know what biological men like me should be allowed to compete in sports.

3:54.4

Biological men like me with testosterone coursing through my veins and my junk hanging out in the locker room should be allowed to compete.

4:01.4

And I'm calling on Biden to allow this to occur. Here's the audio of Leah Thomas cut 19. Cut 19, Matt.

4:12.4

Sorry, give me one second, Rich. All right, no problem.

4:19.4

We're doing that. Let me just mention too. We also get we'll get the audio of Riley Gaines or of what they said the other night on Bill Mars show regarding Riley Gaines and how she was called out by that awful Congresswoman Katie Porter who's terrible and hates Riley Gaines and hates anybody who's advocating for women's athletics.

4:36.4

Just let me know you haven't I got it. And then you got it. All right. Great. Go ahead.

4:39.4

My name is Leah Thomas. I'm a transgender woman, a former college swimmer and the first trans athlete to be named division one NCAA champion.

4:48.4

I started swimming when I was five years old. It has taught me so much. It's given me so many opportunities to learn, grow, develop and connect with my peers.

4:57.4

Opportunities that I wouldn't have gotten if I didn't have access to athletics. That's why it breaks my heart to see trans kids across the country lose out on these opportunities.

5:06.4

The Department of Education has proposed a new rule for Title IX regarding transgender athletes. This rule would prohibit blanket bands on transgender kids, especially in grades K through 8.
