We finally have our answer on the Rashi Rice story or sort of.

This news broke after I released the podcast today, so I figured I popped back on for another one.

But you probably saw Rashi Rice sentenced to 30 days of jail time and five years probation.

This came out today and initially reported here by Adam Schaefter.

The article saying that a Dallas judge did rule that Rice can serve the jail time

at any point during the five-year probationary period.

So it doesn't have to happen immediately. He has

deferred education, which means the case will be dismissed if he completes the probation. So

this looked like it could potentially have been very severe in terms of jail time. This is

very not severe when it comes to Rashi Rice. Remember, he was

traveling 119 miles an hour in a Lamborghini sport utility vehicle on May 30th of last year.

And apparently drag racing, at least that's what the cameras show. And there was a multi-car crash.

He was facing account of aggravated assault,

account of collision involving serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving

injury, according to the police. Ultimately, there may still be civil stuff, but the criminal

case is over. So what happens from here? It seems now almost certain he is going

to serve a suspension in 2025. But before we get ahead of ourselves, you know, the NFL has

already briefly commented the NFL PR department said,

we've been closely monitoring all the developments in the matter,

which remains under review.
