along with Jordan Bianchi. We're motorsports writers for the athletic, and we're here at Daytona

International Speedway, very rainy and stormy, Daytona International Speedway right now,

actually. And that's fine with us because the whole race got in before that stormy weather

came. No weather interruptions. Like, it feels like forever since the Daytona 500 was not impacted by

rain. Man. And kudos to NASCAR for moving it up by an hour by the way because if they didn't do

that oh that would have been a mess yes so anti-collar that was that was the early call of the year

right there moving this up an hour uh thank you for that one uh we could have still been here

or i mean actually originally jordan it looked like this was going to be a stormfront that like swept through and now it turns out it's like a thing that would have

parked it so that would end to the race it would been done yes there's no way they would have been

restarted this after it was an official race so had there been the lightning ahead of it had there

been the the raindrop started whoever was ahead it would have been a controversy it would

have been a mess to start off the

year instead there is actually a finish under green barely in regulation i know at that yeah a

Daytona 500 finish under green in regulation yes barely as you say we'll talk about that but

dare i say and maybe we don't disagree i don't think it was all that controversial of a race, maybe?
