We're back. Time for another edition of the Carolina Insider.

Jones and Adam here with you.

It's another Rapid Reactions edition of the show after Carolina gets the 12-7 win over West Virginia in the college world series.

This game advances the Tar Heels to the Championship Series, where the heels will await

either Georgia or Oklahoma.

As of the time, Adam and I are talking, we don't know.

That could have been decided if Oklahoma wins on Wednesday night.

If Georgia wins, those two teams play again on Thursday.

But Adam, this game really was a very comfortable and impressive performance from Carolina for a large

majority of the contest.

West Virginia ended up making a push with five runs in the seventh, added another one in

the eighth.

Fortunately, though, Carolina had absolutely dominated leading up to that point, leading 12 to 1 before the

Mountaineers are able to score those six runs to make the final score of 12.7. So I kind of feel like

those last little stressful innings take away from what was a masterful first 70% of this game for Carolina when the heels

looked really, really good.

It really did feel like two different games.

You felt really good at the beginning because we've been waiting for the Carolina

offense to have that kind of day.

Scott Forbes moved the lineup around a little bit and it paid dividends immediately,

especially those two, three, four spots were just dominant.
