here before we get into the game notes and what actually happened on the field

coupled with that Seahawks loss to the Rams on Sunday night football. The Niners now lead the

NFC west again and have the one seed in the NFC. But obviously this thing has to play

out and the Niners still have to go to Seattle and win in week 17 most likely

for that to really come to fruition in the 49ers to get that top seed in the NFC and win the West. But what the 49er coupled with the

Seahawks loss does even though the 49ers still have to go to Seattle to win if both teams went out the rest of the

way here. What it does is it buys the 49ers an extra game. So what if the 49ers lay an

egg one of the next two weeks against the Falcons or the Rams? It won't matter because the Niners will still be in the same spot, go to

Seattle win and they have the NFC West. So it gives them one game of leeway. Otherwise, if both teams would have won out and the Seahawks would have won Sunday night,

then the 49ers couldn't lose or else the week 17 wouldn't matter. And what it means is if the
