Well, we are well into the second hour of the show, Sean Steyer's, Trevor Trowbridge, rapid fire time on Budweiser's

weekday sports meet with Irish Breakdown.com after we got a little bit of a break there. Notre Dame

announced a pair of football schedule updates for the 2027 and 28 seasons today. The fighting

average are going to close 27 season at Stanford and then host the Cardinal in

28. So it's basically an extension of that series. Obviously, they closed this past season

at Stanford like they've been doing every other year since the late 90s.

Notre Dame is also going to host Kent State in October 2027.

What do you think of the moves, Trevor Trowbridge?

I think they're smart, especially for what their schedule looks like.

I mean, for Stanford, it is a rivalry game.

They play for the Legends trophy.

Unfortunately, it hasn't really

mattered much because since David Shaw left Stanford, it's been very, very much downhill.

I don't love it so much for the 27 schedule. Adding Stanford back for 28 was very, very smart.

I'm one of those that I think that Notre Dame should look to schedule more top-level opponents.

You know, like I would like to see in Notre Dame versus Tennessee on the schedule.

It would be cool to see Ohio State on the schedule again.

But, dude, if you look at their 28 schedule, they already have on paper, Texas at home, Arkansas

at home, Clemson at home, on the road against Auburn, on the road against Virginia Tech,

home against Miami, and then on the road against Pitt. I on the road against Virginia Tech, home against

Miami, and then on the road against Pitt. I don't know if I wanted to have like a Tennessee

or an Ohio State on top of those games. But in 27, I think that's when you could have used
