is reporting that Fighting Irish

Secondary Coach Mike Mickens is one of the top three candidates to fill the Longhorns

vacant safety's coaching position.

It's delusional.

It's very daydreamy.

And I'm trying not to be biased with that answer.

But again, Mike Mickens is Marcus Freeman's boy, right?

And they have a very strong connection together.

I don't see Mike Mickens taking a lateral position to go down at Texas, right?

Like, and I know maybe they can offer him a little bit more money, but I think that Marcus,

one, his relationship with Marcus Freeman is highly beneficial.

And I think to a degree, Marcus Freeman is kind of tutoring him to a degree, taking him under his wing.

And, you know, I know that Mike Mekins probably wants bigger opportunities and more on his plate now.

But I think that Marcus Freeman is building them up to that.
