I will share something that I wasn't planning on sharing.

I had a negative sexual experience when I was a teenager.

And because sex wasn't normalized in my house,

I wasn't able to talk about it.

And I kept it a secret for several years

from people that really should have known.

And I think that's where we have to start talking about sex

because there's so many people that have sexual trauma

that feel like they can't come forward because sex isn't a conversation in their house.

And so if someone is out there listening to this,

just know that I once felt the same way

and the way that we can end this stigma

is by taking the taboo away from pleasure.
