Christopher Ronnie, born on December 15, 1969, was an original member of the Philadelphia-based

Hilltop Hustlers Hip-Up Group, and in 1987, the group released their debut single, Juice

Crew Dis, taking aim at the New York-based crew run by the influential rap producer Marley Marl.

The song gained Christopher quite a lot of attention, and under the stage name Cool C, he created a

relatively successful music career for himself in the late 80s. In 1988, a pair of singles were put out

and landed Christopher a contract with Atlanta Records,

who helped him put out a debut album, I Got a Habit in 1989, and a second, Life in the Ghetto in

1990. Then in 1991, he put his solo career on pause and joined the rap group, C.E.B, along with two fellow

Philadelphia rappers. Unfortunately, their one and only album was met with disappointing sales and

bad reviews. However, it's not this flop, nor his prior musical successes that he is known for today.
