Summary

The masses made their choice for the next President and I have some thoughts on what that means, what got us here, and what the hell we do now. Whether you focus on misinformation campaigns from foreign governments that cultivated seeds of discontent a la Cambridge Analytica, or core values of racial bias and white supremacy that continue to linger, or the resistance of over 34% of our citizens to realize the power of their vote, there's no shortage of factors that contributed. As an homage to facts and figures, we review key metrics that served as a focus of hate and division in our ongoing culture war before addressing what we can try to do in the coming years to stay safe and sane.

I woke up this morning and I could tell from my husband's mood how the election went. I also knew that there was something bad happening in the world because I had a really horrible case of vertigo. And I haven't had that in such a long time. I almost forget that it happens to me. So I stand up to go to the bathroom. It's like, who, no, you don't. We're down on the ground. Who needs a theme park? Who needs a ride? I didn't have to pay

stressed out or lack of sleep, just generally not in a good living habit. So yeah, the election did it.

And I know for so many of us, there's no time to linger on that because it's the morning and you have to pack lunches and you have to get children off to school as I did.

So you can't focus on the fact that, yeah, they're probably going to have to keep their bulletproof backpack forever because nothing's going to get better for a long time.

And we have to go back to our jobs as if it's a normal day.

1:10.3

And as much as I was online last night,

1:12.1

I posted some funny things to my Instagram to sort of help people as the anxiety of the election

numbers were coming in. I have not been back online since last night. I have not looked yet,

but I'm very aware of how the majority of Americans have voted.

1:29.0

And I say, so be it.

1:31.1

For those that voted that way, for those that truly believed that that was the right answer, so be it.

1:37.5

Let's see what happens now.

1:39.3

I don't know of many people who voted for him in my personal life, but I know of a few. And I'm very tempted to just

1:46.1

ask some basic questions of, did his first term not turn you away from that? Did you not see

1:53.8

the lack of things for working class people? What was it that made you say, you know what? I liked it. I liked everything I saw,

and I would like more of that. And was the driving factor more for him or more for being against

were presented with only policies, only policies, over 80%, no matter how they said they were voting, over 80% preferred the policies from Kamala Harris.

And moreover, the people who were not voting for her thought that those policies that were hers were actually policies that Donald
