It feels like cyberattacks are happening almost every day lately.

We're still figuring out the impact of the SolarWinds attack, which was one of the

largest cyberattacks in history, but the problem seems to be getting even worse.

A few weeks ago, the Colonial Pipeline was the target of a ransomware attack, and a similar

attack shut down JBS foods, the world's largest meat supplier, just this week.

While we're used to seeing cyberattacks go after big targets, the fact that hackers are

now going after our food supply is particularly scary.

Well, I don't know the dietary habits of the people who believe it would be behind it,

but I don't think that that was the primary motivation.

We basically got something similar to the Colonial Pipeline attack, which is ransomware

shut down.

Some of the major company systems, which causes disruption to what those companies provide

Obviously, it was oil.

In this case, it's meat, and just very briefly, what ransomware does is it's just malware

that will encrypt the targets or the victim systems so they can't use them.
