All right, Brian, in part three today show here in the Irish Breakdown podcast brought to you by our friends over at Bandw.

We're going to be talking about the top 10 defensive line units in the country in 2026.

Now, obviously some projection is being used here, but what we did is we sat down and we broke it down,

looked what teams did in the portal, look who they have coming back, and we're projecting a little bit forward here with what we believe the top defensive line units are going to be in the country. And pretty par for the course with a lot of mine and Brian's lists, a lot of similarities. It's funny, we were cracking jokes with each other when we called, we were prepping for the show, and he's like, who's your one and two? And I gave him mine, and he gave me his and a little chuckle afterwards because Chaka, there wasn't a whole lot of variance. But I'm excited to dive into these, Brian. I love doing these top 10 lists this early in the off season. Yeah, it's fun because it forces you to start looking into other teams and what they have coming back.

And if you really want to appreciate where Notre Dame is and how good Notre Dame is or isn't,

it's good to stack them up against other teams.

And so we always like to do kind of stuff like that.

It's an interesting year because a lot of the better defensive lines in the country are going to be very portal driven, which made even more projection than normal for doing

this ranking. And obviously, I personally gave a lot of credence to teams that have guys

returning.

Everybody that, I mean, I can't think of a D-line I have in my top 10 that doesn't have a portal impact. I don't know of anybody that's necessarily relying on, you know, just

homegrown players. I'm actually looking at my list now, Trev, and there's one starting lineup that won't be touched

by the portal. And that's my number one group, which I won't say it just yet.

Everybody else that I'm looking at has at least one portal guy that's either going to be a starter

or a backup out. There's one except for my number 19. That's it.

Everybody else has some level of portal impact in their starting lineup.

And every team, including the team at the top,

whose starting lineup wasn't touched by the portal,

their entire depth is almost entirely from the portal,

outside of a couple young defensive ends.

So it required a lot of projection, a lot of projection this year. And so it made it a little bit challenging. And then, of course, what your system is and, you know, who's coaching the unit, all those things factor into me. But what we're going to do is kind of what we always do. And we're going to kind of go back and forth. Trev's going to go 10 to 5, 10 to 6, give you his 10 to 6 teams,

and I'll give you my 10 to 6, and then he'll give you 5 to 1,
