We're entering that kind of, well, it's not silly season, but it's that period between the Super Bowl and the Combine right before Free Agency gets going where we got some idle time.

Don't know which players are definitely hitting the market, which ones aren't.

Don't know which guys are going to be re-signed.

What we have to do, though, Phil Perry, is start to kind of align what our perception

is of the New England Patriots as it enters the crosshairs

of its 2025 off season.

And I think, Phil, what we can do today is try and determine how big a draw, Drake

May and the Patriots situation already is for a free agent.

I love fun and this sounds like fun, yes.

Okay, because players chase money.

They chase situation and that situation can be on the field or off the field.

Bill Belichick lamenting the Massachusetts tax situation last year.

That's going to be a nugget in the back of people's minds as they look.

But do you want to go to a team that's loaded up?

Like if you're a wideout, you want to go if the Bengals resigned T. Higgins?

So there's a sliding scale that's different for everyone.
