The turnstiles gather dust.

The terraces are empty, save the leaves blown from the trees and silence but for distant noises carried on the breeze.

And in the football desert, an oasis comes to sight.

And in the tunnel of our darkness glows, an ever-growing light.

Can you hear it in the distance?

Can you feel it in the air?

The edge of a straw to grasp out hanging just over there.

It's not everything we wanted.

It can't all come as one.

But the Bundesliga is

returning. The countdown has begun. It's not perfect. And let's just take a moment to recall

those who can't be in the seats they've held for years or in the yellow wall. So just remember

when we're lapping it up to listen to the sounds. And remember, football is nothing without the fans

in the grounds. But safety first, of course. And this seems to be the way, shouts out the players

and the staff, taking a risk to play, putting themselves on the line for entertainment and morale,

trusting in the system and the general rationale. So put on the Revier Derby, enjoy that Bayern are back.
