So it is rule rumble time of year, my friends, my favourite time of the year.

And actually when you look at the rule rumble before WrestleMania 41 and how those two things could tie together,

if we did rank them next year, it could be right up there.

Let's hope.

So this is the first televised rumble

because actually the tester happened the year before this,

but obviously, because it was the inaugural rumble,

well, the WWF was still trying to figure a few things out.

And the main issue with this one is that there is no prize,

there is nothing at stake,

so essentially a bunch of people have gotten a ring

and they're trying to throw other wresters over the top rope for pride or something like that. I mean, just go do a jigsaw.

And it's not as catchy as main eventing a WrestleMania, but Jim Duggan did win this one. And don't rile your eyes of that either. Back in 1988, his star was on the rise.

There is only 20 entrants to, and while it only lasts about

33 minutes, I tell you, it feels like it lasts 47 years, but that's because once again,

the World Wrestling Federation hadn't really figured out, well, we should probably tell some

stories in the middle of this thing, otherwise fans are just going to sit there and watch.
