| 0:00.0 | Good morning, friends and enemies. |
| 0:02.4 | Welcome back into the week 14 running back preview, all right, where I'm going game by game through every fantasy relevant running back, ranking them as a start, a sit or a flex. |
| 0:12.2 | All right? |
| 0:12.4 | This is a big, big, big day and a bigger week. |
| 0:16.6 | So let's jump in to Thursday night football. |
| 0:18.6 | We do this every single Wednesday. |
| 0:20.3 | We do the wide receiver version of this video every single Thursday. |
| 0:23.2 | So if you want to watch those going forward throughout the fantasy playoffs, make sure you subscribe. |
| 0:27.0 | Put the D in that button. |
| 0:28.3 | So we've got Dallas at Detroit, Thursday night football, incredibly high total here, 54.5 point game. |
| 0:34.7 | Detroit, three point favorites at home. |
| 0:36.8 | So borderline to pick them. If they're |
| 0:38.6 | at a neutral field here, Dallas is red hot on offense. Obviously, Detroit kind of faltering a little bit. They need, I mean, both teams need this for the playoffs, obviously. And I will say before we dive into the actual rankings itself, as you know, all of my rankings, the only place to get them is on bdge.co if you are a big dog member so go there if you don't even want to watch |
| 0:57.4 | these videos and you just want the rankings straight up. Of course, we've got Jemir Gibbs. He's going to go into the must start category. Jvante Williams, a little bit more of a tougher ranking here. Again, not a guy that I want to overthink because he gets such a high majority of the touches. He's just not seeing a ton of touchdowns goes away, especially not on the ground. But this is a very, very tough matchup. As you could see, the lines have allowed the fewest fantasy points to the running back position on the actual season. So tough defense to run against here, but we're not overly concerned about that. He's going to get a lot of touches, to really whether or not when they get inside the 10 or 5 yard line do they pass the ball do they throw the ball javonsa if you got them you start him the tough one here i think would be david montgomery you have a good matchup for him against the dallas cowboys obviously a high over under every once in while they just put deemont in inside the five yard line to let him get a touchdown, which we saw on Thanksgiving night. |
| 2:02.5 | Dan Campbell kind of let him rock. But at this time, at this point in the season, Dave Montgomery does not really look great anymore. I don't know if it's old age. I don't know if it's just like him not getting enough work to really get going. But he doesn't look elusive. He doesn't look overly powerful. He just doesn't really look like the old David Montgomery, to be honest with and Gibbs is getting 70 to 75% of the snaps. |
| 2:03.8 | And I don't really blame them, right? |
| 3:10.1 | With I'm on Ross St. Brown kind of trending towards not playing in this game, you're going to use Gibbs a lot. You need these past catchers to really step up for you. Overall, DEMont's probably floating somewhere between the Dubflex and the Shaky Flex category. He's like a lot of those running backs right now, you know, the Kareem Hunt's, the Chris Rodriguez is where you're going to get eight to 10 touches. You're going to get probably a very low floor unless you get a touchdown out of him. And maybe there's some, you know, tinfoil hat conspiracies about, you know, Amman Ra, possibly not playing and Jemir Gibbs running some more routes from the slot, opening up the backfield to David Montgomery. I feel like that's kind of a weak argument to land on. And right now, I'm just talking to avoid having to choose a slot for David Montgomery. I'm not going to lie to you. I would say overall, I feel okay. I think I probably throw them despite a really good matchup closer to the shaky flex tier, probably towards the top of it. I mean, Vegas has his line at 32 and a half rushing yards, so hard to be overly optimistic about it. But let's move into the 1 PM slates here. We've got James Cook going against the Cincinnati Bengals. Buffalo's at home in this one. 52.5 point total, Joe Burrow obviously back. Five and a half point favorites for the Buffalo Bills here. |
| 3:13.3 | A minus 200 line for any time touchdown. |
| 3:16.6 | James Cook is rushing yards total at 98.5. |
| 3:18.8 | Coming off of a 35 touch game. |
| 3:21.4 | Now, James Cook was kind of their entire offense. |
| 4:14.5 | The Bengals defense is obviously an incredible matchup for any fantasy running back here. So he's going to go right into the must start category. Chase Brown, he saw a lot of volume here, but you can notice one thing, right? It's a good matchup against a weak Buffalo Bill's run defense, number three and fantasy points allowed to the running back position on the year for an EPA per rush allowed on the year. So they're just not a good rush defense. We did see Samaja Pryan come back and play a lot of snaps. Like on the base downs, it was still very much in favor of Brown, but Samadja Piron's playing in a lot of like obvious passing situations. The Bengals ran an absurd number of plays last week. It was somewhere in like the 80 range, which is not typical, which allowed both of them to get a lot of volume but you could see vagus putting him at 52 and a half rushing yards that's kind of indicative of the split that they're expecting with samatra p ryan which was the case prior to p ryan's high ankle sprain so really that's just a conversation to say that you know is chase brown a must start probably not but he's still going to go into the feels good category he's playing very well joe burrow definitely helps |
