Summary

Jake is joined by guest host John Colosimo (@JCozmo) as the two do their usual Friday thing. They start with some long-overdue discussion on The Batman film, then push onto Browns topics (@ 9:25 mark) including the shifting nature of guaranteed contract and misconceptions about Watson's deal, impromptu ranking of the AFC's best QBs around discussion of Lamar Jackson's pending deal, and they close with banter on the idea of moving Denzel Ward and what comes with a big decision like that + how they can still make it work. Quick reminder of what's up on the website.

0:19.9

We've had some good things go up over the last few days. We had an analytic study by Anthony Reinhardt, who put out a, do the Browns even really care about the interior defensive line? We've had questions about this. We're still having questions about this as they have so few options currently on the roster. They have not signed a veteran player. The draft is still out there. They could go get somebody. But at the top end of that commitment is only pick 44 unless they move up, which we don't think they will move up, given how few picks they have over the next three years. So the question becomes, have we kind of viewed the interior defensive line the way we've been viewing linebacker? Now the Browns are just saying, hey, we can get, you know,

0:54.4

pretty much anybody to play interior defensive line at a minimum level and be okay. If we have

0:59.9

strong defensive in play, if we have strong linebackers, coverage guys and safeties, that's an

1:07.2

to look into what sort of commitment the Browns have had. And from Sashi to Andrew Barry, the philosophy has been, you know, very minimal commitment here. Very, very minimal. The Sheldon Richardson deal, that was John Dorsey deal. So again, in there, very interesting for you subscribers. Check that out. A reminder, I unlocked the Amari Cooper film room.
