Hi guys and welcome back to short stories for kids. I'm Lucy and I'm here to

read you guys an exciting adventure pack story every single week. We have a

very special story today and it is about a condition that affects some children

in the world and we're going to talk more about that in a little bit.

So today's story request comes from Rainia and she would like a story about a girl who is 17

years old and has a service dog that helps her with her disability called Prado Willy Syndrome.

And we actually hadn't heard of this syndrome. We didn't know anybody we don't know anybody that

has this so we looked it up and you know we read about it. We watched some YouTube videos. There's

some really great videos on YouTube. Yeah so in this story we're going to explain what this

syndrome is and what it's like for other kids that have it and how it affects their lives.

And yeah this is just a very special story that we hope you all enjoy. So let's go.

This is a story about a girl called Rainia. It's not a story about battling dragons or

dealing with monsters but it is a story about a girl who has to struggle with a different kind

of problem every single day. Rainia has Prado Willy Syndrome. I suspect you've never heard of it

because it's a rare condition that only affects a small amount of people. Prado Willy Syndrome

hasn't just been made up for this story either. Rainia has to deal with it every day of her life

and has done for 17 years. The strangest part of Prado Willy Syndrome

is that it makes you feel hungry all the time. You never ever feel full. You just want to eat and

when you finish eating you want to eat some more. You and I eat for the energy it gives us to live

our lives but people like Rainia have a second problem. They don't use their energy as fast as

you and I. So despite wanting to eat all the time they need to be really careful about what they
