We've got a super good friend of mine. Very knowledgeable guy and super funny as well. Randy cooling from Michigan. Right? You're from Michigan. Yeah, I'm by everybody in Arbor.

Man, you're from Iowa originally.

That's where I grew up on white tails there. Yeah.

I kind of miss it, but then a way so long now. This is home. I like it here. Yeah, and I'm not overly familiar with Michigan and Arbor is kind of a higher end area, isn't it?

Yeah, it's a college town. University of Michigan overeats there. So in the big house, you know, it holds 100 and I don't know 13, 14,000 people in there to watch football game.

So yeah, it is that that area right there is very much higher and it's typical college town, you know, big college town. Yeah, by the way, you get to get paid and watch the game tonight because of your occupation.

Yeah, yeah, I picked elevators, escalators and they need people with the ball game. If I'm usually I miss a few during the year because I'm hunting somewhere, but if I'm home, I'm over there for home games, garden place.

Yeah, that's not a bad racket. That's a good deal. So you work on elevators. Have you done that your whole life? I mean, I've been doing it for 40 years and I'm starting to get very tired of it.

It's a good job, but it pays well, but just 40 years of doing the same thing. I don't know. I probably I keep thinking I'm going to quit, but and do something else. I could I can draw my pension right now.

But it's it's hard. It's it's very hard to just stop doing something that you've been doing for so long. I didn't think it would be, but it is the more I think about it.

Yeah, you'd probably be bored. Do you so coming from the, you know, commercial glass side of things where we, you know, installed doors constantly, you know, all glass doors and herculates and everything else.

Do you run into the same problem where you put 14,000 yards are ribbon up that says do not enter and caution and whatever. And then you still get some asshole walking over the top of you.

I'll tell you what we have barricades.

The big barricades that we wrap around the ends of escalators on the top and on the bottom because we take steps out and run the unit without steps in it when we're working on it.

There's a big hole at the bottom for the access plates and actually hospitals are the worst people move the barricades jump over the hole and then write the escalator up and I'm if I'm at the top working.

I don't notice it right at the top.

And I usually choose their ass out and and tell them that they just don't realize that they could die and the worst part about it is I have to go to court because they were stupid.

And waste my time and you know, it's just crazy what people do.

I think it's there's people are so used to driving around roadblock roadside, you know, they road post that I think they are so kind to go around the barricades, you know, even though you see these holes and the floor and stuff, you know, it's crazy.

It's so bad. I mean, think with technology, we would photograph from the snorkel lifts surrounding areas so people so if OSHA, if anything ever happened, we had like photographic evidence of what we had barricaded and closed off because I had to go to court, you know, those big, you know, like dead blows, the rubber mallets full of sand.
