Some big unexpected news here from the January 6th committee. The house is on recess this week and it was not planning on holding any additional hearings this week.

But just in the last few moments, as you've noted, the January 6th Committee announced that it will hold a hearing tomorrow afternoon on Capitol Hill.

That is, 1 p.m. in the same Canon Caucus room where it has held the prior hearings.

Now, they did not give any additional detail except to say,

and I'm just going to quote from the release here, to present recently obtained evidence and

receive witness testimony. They don't say what the evidence is. They don't say who the witness is,

but this must be a pretty big development for the committee to change its plans on such short notice and hold a hearing after it had initially postponed all additional hearings to after recess to July when the House returns from the July 4th break.

Again, momentous news, we don't have more details to report, including the identity of the

witness, but we'll be following closely. This, of course, comes after the committee held hearings

last week, including most notably, one, talking about then-President Trump's attempts to pressure

the Justice Department. Oh, man. So, hey, everybody, happy Monday, too.
