somewhere in the United States of America. So the sentencing hearing for Derek Chauvin for the

murder of George Floyd is underway. We heard the victim impact statements earlier. The little baby girl, the little daughter of George Floyd,

she spoke about how her dad's death affected her. We heard from the brother of George Floyd,

Philanese Floyd. We heard from other family members. And now we're listening to Matthew Frank,

the Minnesota Assistant Attorney General. And he is going over what he submitted to the court

as sentencing recommendations in light of the fact that Derek Chauvin not only was found guilty of second-degree murder,

which carries a penalty of up to 25 years, I'm sorry, 40 years, 40 years, 25 years for third-degree

murder, that would be the top, and 10 years for manslaughter.

He was found guilty on all those charges, as you will recall.

Now, in addition to being found guilty on all of those charges, there are aggravating factors in play.
