Voters in Jacksonville, Florida made history yesterday, electing a Democrat Donna Deegan as the city's

first female mayor. The upset victory makes her only the second Democrat to win a Jacksonville mayor's race.

In 30 years, she defeated Republican Daniel Davis, who heads the city's Chamber of Commerce.

He was endorsed by Florida Governor Ronda Santis, although the governor didn't do any campaigning for him.
