This morning another potential breakthrough in the battle against COVID, a vaccine developed by Moderna,

showing a 94.5% efficacy rate in a trial with 30,000 participants. The company's president

telling us the first doses could be rolled out as soon as December if the FDA authorizes it

for emergency use. What does this mean for Americans at home? It means some hope that we are going to beat this thing, and we're going to beat it sooner rather than later.

Moderna says the independent committee, analyzing its data, did not report any significant safety concerns, clearing a major hurdle.

The nation's top infectious disease doctor says he hopes the promise of vaccines motivates Americans to fully embrace public health measures.

People are worn out about this, but we've got to hang in there a bit longer.
