Yeah, I just felt like, man, we had momentum.

Get up 14.

It felt like we had a good call.

And we had yard line wise there.

Yeah, I think the feeling was, man, let's be aggressive.

You know, to get up, to get up 14, I was just watching the way our defense was playing. And,

you know, the only, I mean, look, the turnover on our end resulting in a touchdown. And

outside of that, man, I thought we did a good job in containing them. There'll be a number

of things when we watch the tape I'll look at and, you know,

critique and pay close attention to. But there's a hard fought game and we didn't do enough to win it.

Sean Payton talking about that decision in the second quarter to go for a fourth and one

rather than kick a field goal to take a 10 to nothing lead.

I think every analytics model said and was more than comfortable with Peyton's decision.

It always is because it's historical.

It's not based on potential weather in the second

half or the defense that they were facing were the fact that it was a backup quarterback playing

in the game. And the idea that the game was going to be a hard-to-come-by-points game.

Denver had to feel, after watching New England the last two weeks offensively, they had to feel pretty good about their chance of winning a game

scoring 13, 17 points. The more points you get, the better. Yeah, 14 would have been great, but here's the thing, even if they make the first down. There's no guarantee they're going to score a touchdown. That just gives them a first down at the Denver, say, 13 or 12 or 11 yard line if they just barely get it. Then it's a condensed field. It's very difficult to score, especially with the backup quarterback. They did it on their opening drive. That's fair. That's fair. But that is an outstanding

New England defense. Wow. The way it has played in this postseason. Now, they got a

Chargers team that was decimated up front. They got a Houston team that had a quarterback that decided he was

going to make every bad decision that was out there to make, and they had a backup quarterback
