Ramona emailed me the files on this podcast series a few days ago, so I've had a chance to get ahead of it. I finally finished the final part about a half an hour before

she and I are sitting down here. And Ramona, I think this is the best compliment I can give you.

I've listened to all five parts.

And if you told me, hey, I've got five more parts to the Sterling Affairs that I'm going to email you tonight.

I would absolutely dive into them on my drive home from Bristol. I'd

listen to another five episodes of it. The podcast is remarkable. You've been working on it.

In some ways, you've been working on this for years. But tell me this, Ramona, the idea to tell this story the way you have in a podcast format

to make it five parts which and even in the beginning I wondered well I feel like I know this

story pretty well I covered it no one covered it quite like you did, but I covered it and was around

for all of it. I don't know if this would, I don't know if there's five parts in this for me that

are going to keep me riveted. And it was riveting. It was absolutely riveting.

So I think I was always drawn to the soap opera, right? The Donald and

Shelley marriage and the very strange love triangle with V. Stiviano, right? Like, people remember

V. Stiviano with the visor and stuff on roller skates, right? Like, and, and, you know, I knew behind the scenes how that played into everything, like how we even got here. And that's always what hooked me into the story. And then as I'm reporting on this, I realize, wait, the NBA tried to kick him out 30 years ago and it didn't take, right? Like they voted him out,

but he kind of got out of it because the league still kind of needed him. And they just sent

Alan Rothenberg in and, you know, to babysit and to make everything look good. And he just kind of

moved the team to Los Angeles despite the league opposing it and they find them a little bit and

you just did it anyway. I mean, the league has been trying to get rid of Donald Sterling for 30

years. So why did it take this? And you look at the history of it and you get into this,
