Since the 1980s Dr. Lacovara has been involved in many noteworthy projects. Most famously, he led the project to identify and repatriate the mummy of King Ramesses I. My guest today is Dr. Peter Lakovaara.

Peter Lakovaara is an Egyptologist and archaeologist.

He completed his PhD research in 1993 at the University of Chicago in the United States.

His research priority was the city of Dirier El Balas, a lesser-known palace complex dating to

the late second intermediate period and the very early New Kingdom.

1998 to September 2014, Dr. Lackovaro was the senior curator of ancient Egyptian, Nubian,

and Near Eastern Art at the Michael C. Carlos'C. Carlos Museum of Art at Emory University,

in Atlanta in the United States.

And as part of that tenure, Peter was involved in a particular project.
