I normally start these types of things asking players what it's like to be a footballer

because I think the majority of our listeners and me are sort of obsessed by that.

But in your case I think I'll ask you what it's like to not be a footballer because for

the first time in a long time you're no longer a pro footballer and what you've been up to.

Yeah it's certainly different adapting and calling up to two years now I think it is since

I retired and my last club was it pressed and I did sign for Barry but for certain reasons

stuff like it wasn't it wasn't you know I felt it was time to retire.

So just first six or seven months just spending time with the family I've said to you before

you don't get chance to do stuff when you're a footballer you know we're very privileged

but doing the family stuff which is most important you have to sort of miss out on days

out and going on bike rides and stuff so holidays and stuff.

Holidays yeah I mean during the school holidays obviously we're in preseason so you know

for them six weeks so in weeks you can't go on holidays with your family obviously

we do it at different times but it's just doing the normal I call it the normal stuff.

So I've really enjoyed that played a lot of golf which has been great a lot of walks

with the dogs you can see.

And starting planning then to what I wanted to do which is my own goalkeeper academy

which we've just got up and running now which is going great doing stuff with immediate

sky you know Liverpool TV which I've really enjoyed but yeah long term you know I've

also forgot there I've been I was Goldicovic Port Vale, Michael Bramer and we just before

last Christmas and said not where you coming I've got the job so I've gone in there and

done first thing which has been great experience for six or seven months but now the academy
