we ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to bless every one of them

and to grant every one of us goodness in this world and the next

my brothers and sisters you and I know that at the moment people are more into football than they are into the Dean

and it's unfortunate that in a way it distracts us sometimes from the Dean

but we do have some players whom we acknowledge are probably more religious than those who are cheering them on Subhanallah

so it's about time we learn to lesson

I've seen sports persons who are so keen on fasting, on fulfilling their salat, on fulfilling their obligations

unto Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala that it leaves us quite embarrassed when we see those who have not even arrived at such levels of fame or of professionalism in anything on the earth yet we are far away from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala

so may Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala grant us a deep lesson

I mean the reason why I start this way even though I'm talking about the ending of the month of Ramadan when I came to speak to you earlier I was speaking about the beginning of Ramadan

the excitement I want to tell you that what happens in a lot of cases is when the football match starts everyone is excited they are cheering

they are so happy when people don't score goals what happens the excitement starts dwindling you know 20 minutes, 30 minutes into the match

45 minutes, half time no goal what happens a little while later still no goal and everyone is quiet you might hear the odd war cry
