My brothers and sisters, when we spend, we should be spending in a way that

the left hand does not know what the right hand has spent, given in charity.

When we give in charity, Allah will grant us comfort.

Allah will give us extension of our sustenance.

Allah will give us extension even in our lifespan, in the blessings of our lifespan.

So it's amazing how you spend and try and be secretive about it, but is it prohibited to disclose what you've done?

The answer is no. In fact at times it is recommended.

So when is it recommended? It's recommended when you know that by you disclosing it to someone

you're going to be encouraging them and then you get a reward when they actually spend as a result

of having been, having seen you or having learnt about what you did.

Subhanallah. So it's recommended.

Similarly, when you're giving a third party some money to give to a charitable cause,

you need to make a follow-up, especially if that party is not absolutely trustworthy.

And what's happening today, there are so many charitable organizations, very sadly,

those in the field of charity will tell you, meaning in the field of managing charities,

will tell you that perhaps the bulk of these charities are not as accountable as they should be.

So don't just blindly trust.
