My brothers and sisters, I wish to highlight two of the verses that were read this evening from Surat Al Maida.

0:21.4

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala grant us a lesson.

0:24.9

In one of them, Allah is reminding us that if you are not going to fulfill the instructions that Allah has placed on your shoulders,

0:34.9

then Allah is not going to lose anything. He will simply replace you with someone else.

0:41.9

Look at the masjid tonight. It is full. Those who didn't come, they are the ones who lost out.

0:47.9

If I was one of those who didn't come, the salar was going to continue. Everything was going to continue. Who would have lost out myself?

0:56.9

So if I don't pray, it's not like Allah is going to lose something. It's me who loses. If I don't give charity, it's not like money is going to be short.

1:06.9

Someone else will give, Allah will use another. If I am not going to do the right thing, it's not like there is going to be a shortage of people doing the right thing.

1:15.9

Allah has his plan. He will use someone else. So this applies in everything. If you are not going to do the good, Allah will take that work from someone else.

1:26.9

In fact, if you are in a position of responsibility and people are coming to you for work, you need to thank Allah.

1:33.9

Because if it was not for them to come to you, perhaps Allah would take the same work from someone else.

1:49.9

So if you are going to turn away, if you are not going to fulfill your duty, you will be in a position of responsibility and people are coming to you.

1:56.9

If you are not going to fulfill the instruction of Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, Allah will replace you with someone who will bring forth another group of people whom he will love and they will love him and they will fulfill that struggle in his cause.

2:20.9

So this is the first verse that I intended to speak about. Then there is another verse that I want to talk about which was in the last of the rakah that we have fulfilled so far.

2:32.9

Where Allah says, one of the reasons why a certain nation was cursed was because when they did bad things, they did not stop each other from doing bad.

2:44.9

They did not remind each other to stop doing evil. So when you see evil, when you see bad, the minimum is, yes, we feel it in our hearts to start with, then we pray for the people, then we try to reach out to them by reminding them my brother, this is not the right thing.

3:01.9

That's the minimum duty that you have. My sister, this is not a good thing what you did. Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, if you don't do that, the whole nation becomes cursed.

3:10.9

Because what happens, the level and the standard of morals and values and fulfillment of responsibilities becomes low.

3:18.9

Everyone is doing wrong and nobody is saying you guys are wrong. So Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala speaks about the curse upon those people.

3:26.9

Those who disbelieve from among the people who are cursed by the tongue of the evil and the curse was connected to one thing.

3:54.9

Allah says they turned away in transgression and they used to go beyond the limits of Allah.
