He's in Taya Household all his companions

We ask Allah to bless them, to bless every single one of us,

to grant us acceptance in this beautiful month of Ramadan,

to grant us forgiveness, to accept from us the fast that we have engaged in,

the prayer, the extra prayer that we have engaged in,

and to help us to enhance, and to help us to protect ourselves,

to develop ourselves in a way that we earn the pleasure of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

My brothers and sisters, this evening,

we will be speaking about an encyclopedia from amongst the encyclopedias

that existed at the time of Muhammad Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

A person who was very small in stature,

which means his build was extremely small, he was very thin,

and at the same time he was one of the most knowledgeable of the companions

of Muhammad Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam,

coming from a very, very poor background in Makkah to Al Mukharrama,

he used to work for a man known as Aqbah Ibn Abi Muayt.

So who was this great companion of Muhammad Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam?

His name was Abdullah Ibn Masrood, Radya Allahu An.

Abdullah Ibn Masrood, Radya Allahu An'hu, initially,

at the time when Muhammad Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam was bestowed with Prophethood,

he was a little boy, and he used to be a shepherd,
