We commence by praising Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala

sending blessings and salutations upon Muhammad salallahu alayhi wa sallam his entire household

and all his companions may Allah bless them and may he bless every single one of us.

Beloved brothers and sisters in Islam.

We thank Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala for giving us this opportunity to engage in prayer and insala

in this month of Ramadan and to be fasting for his sake, abstaining from food and drink and permissible,

sexual desires and at the same time all this for the sake of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala

whilst being conscious of what we utter during the daylight and the night of the month of Ramadan

in a way that not only will we be able to achieve the pleasure of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala

but we will be able to exit this month of Ramadan in a manner that we become better people

than we were before the month. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala grant us benefit.

Yesterday we had commenced the Battle of Badr, the first major battle that took place between

the Qufar of Quraish and the Muslims from Medina to Munawara.

And we had made mention of some very, very important points, the run-up to the battle

as well as the beginning, the starting point of the battle.

I'd like to just recap very briefly.

The Prophet ﷺ had a little command centre built for him known as Al-Aresh.

And as I said up to today, if you were to go to Badr, you would find a mosque in the place

where this command centre was. And he had instructed the believers with instructions

that people had not yet witnessed before that particular war.
