We commence as always by praising Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala sending complete blessings and

salutations upon the Master peace, Muhammad ibn Abdullah, may Allah's peace and blessings

be upon him his entire household and all his companions and may Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala

bless him all and may he bless every single one of us and grandest goodness, beloved brothers

and sisters in Islam. It is important that before we commence we make mention of a few

points regarding the Syirah or the life of Rasulullah al-Alaihi Wasallam. There are many

books that have been compiled about the life of Muhammad al-Alaihi Wasallam, some of them

are in a story form and some of them are in narration form. Some of them have made mention

of just a story so from the beginning to the end according to some chronological order,

the story is mentioned so people can read it and they can learn a lesson from it and understand

it. But if we were to look deeper we would find that those who have written it in story form,

they have gathered it from somewhere where narrations have been made mention of. Some of

these narrations are made mention of by companions of Muhammad salallahu al-Alaihi Wasallam

and some of them by historians. Now you and I know that in Islam whenever we want to utter

something we need to ensure that we have a chain of narrators going back to the source of the

story. To Rasulullah salallahu al-Alaihi Wasallam or to the one whom it had happened too.

So we will find exactly how it happened. If there is a problem in the chain of narrators,

nowadays it is very, very easy to tell that this is a weak narration and that is a correct

narration, authentic narration and so on because we have all the data in a small little
