And all his family members his companions and every single one of us

may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala grant us goodness. Beloved brothers and sisters this evening

we will be continuing with the story of the Prophet Moses Musa alaihi salatu wa salam

may peace be upon him. And what happened after the Pharaoh of Iran was drowned and they were

now on the other side of the red sea. And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala speaks about what happened.

The first thing as they crossed Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says

they said oh Musa we would like you to appoint for us some idols just like they have idols

so we can worship a few of these. Look at these people. They were just saved from Pharaoh

by the will of Allah by the power of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Moments ago they crossed

and in a short period of time they already were excited by what some others were doing.

As-salam responded to them.

All these people

what they are in is completely wrong. It is utterly useless. It is a means of their destruction

and what they are doing is completely out of the fold of what is correct. They have engaged in

polytheism. They have involved or worshipped gods and diities with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

And you are asking me to come and appoint for you something of this nature.

Now there is a narration of Rasulullah salallahu alaihi wa sallam

that once on the journey some of the companions this was at the early stages when

they were traveling with Rasulullah salallahu alaihi wa sallam they said

they saw a tree upon which some of the people used to hang whatever they wanted they used to come

and hang their sword so that if they fight with that sword it would actually be a means of their
