We ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to bless his entire family, the most pure and noble of all families

and we ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to bless all his companions and to bless every single one of us

to bless our offspring those to come up to the day of Qiyama. May Allah bless the Ummah at large.

Beloved brothers and sisters in Islam this evening in inshaAllah we will be going through

the verses in the Qur'an related to two of the prophets of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and the

first one is Prophet Ayyub alayhi s-salatu wa s-salam known in the English language as job may

peace be upon him. We will use the Arabic inshaAllah referring to Ayyub alayhi s-salatu wa s-salam.

He was a nabi sent by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala but the Qur'an does not make mention of the

details of his people and the message because Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala wants us all to learn a

different type of a lesson from the tests which were put into the life of Ayyub alayhi s-salatu wa s-salam.

Firstly who was he? He was from the direct descendants of his haq alayhi s-salam which means he

came from the family of Ibrahim alayhi s-salatu wa s-salam and his wife was one of the direct descendants of

the Prophet Lut alayhi s-salatu wa s-salam according to some narrations. In fact no his his wife

was one of the direct descendants of the Prophet Yusuf alayhi s-salatu wa s-salam and her name

according to some narrations was Rahna and his mother was from the descendants of Lut alayhi s-salatu

wa s-salam. In a nutshell the point being made is he had a very very high lineage in terms of

spirituality and connection to the prophets of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. He was a very very good

looking man. He had good health given by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and over time Allah bestowed

him with favors. He had a quality. He would thank Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala upon all conditions

and he would always say whatever condition Allah keeps you upon be thankful and be grateful.
