All praise is due to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, blessings and salutations upon Muhammad

Salallahu alayhi wa sallam, we ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to bless him and all his

companions to bless every single one of us. I don't know if we've realized that half

of the recitation of the Qur'an is over. Just yesterday we were commencing the month of Ramadan.

This month goes by so fast that those who think we will turn today tomorrow, the month will be gone.

We need to turn now. If we would like to please Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, let's not leave it for

tomorrow. We should do so immediately because there is no guarantee for even the next breath

and this is a sign of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala who would know that half the tarawihs are already

over. Now we've got the other half. Today we sat at the peak and now we will be sliding down

may Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala grant us acceptance and so that people do not get overly excited Allah

has kept a whole season known as the last ten nights of Ramadan where we go back up the mount

insha'Allah may Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala grant us their acceptance. This evening we read Surat

al-Isra also known as Surat Banu Israel the entire Surah. In it Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala

commences by making mention of the journey by night of the Prophet Salallahu alayhi wa sallam

from Makkah to Makarama to Baitul Makdis and that is obviously in Jerusalem. Then Allah Subhanahu

wa Ta'ala took Muhammad Salallahu alayhi wa sallam in person and in soul complete up into the

heavens. That is what we believe. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala grant us a lesson therefrom

and Allah makes mention of the Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and therefore he has called it Surat al-Isra.

Then we also read part of Surat al-Kahaf which is also a very powerful Surah in insha'Allah

we will go through some of the verses of both of these surahs. Firstly do we know that on the day

of Kiyama when we arrive each one of us will have our deeds tied on our necks. Allahu akbar.
