Salallahu alayhi wa sallam we ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to bless every single one of us and to grant every single one of us every point of mercy

may he protect us really from those who are evil and from evil deeds I mean

honoured ulama beloved brothers and sisters and dearest listeners

we are very blessed to be from amongst the Ummah of Muhammad Salallahu alayhi wa sallam

and indeed we sometimes take it for granted that we have so much goodness that is taught to us in this religion

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has not left anything without having given us instructions in its regard

if we take a look at the Quran and how deep it is coupled with the Sunnah of Rasulullah Salallahu alayhi wa sallam

we would be amazed

I have chosen this afternoon to go through one topic that is connected to every single one of us many times during the day and the night

it is the topic of the Islamic greeting

the topic of the Islamic greeting Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

may the peace of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala be upon you and his mercy and his blessings

that is the greeting and that is the Sunnah greeting

so what does the Quran have to say about this greeting?

we will be looking at the Quran not because we do not believe in the Sunnah

no we adopt the Sunnah equally

but at the same time it is the month of the Quran we are looking into the verses of the Quran

at this particular moment and during this particular month to try and derive lessons from these verses

and therefore if we take a look at the Quran we will come across many verses where Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has spoken of this greeting
