Blessings and salutations upon Muhammad Salallahu alayhi wa sallam

We ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to bless every single one of us and we ask Allah Subhanahu

wa Ta'ala to grant us every form of goodness.

Besides that which you have granted us for indeed you are the owner of knowledge, the owner of wisdom.

From the knowledge that you have.

O Allah, we seek protection from knowledge that is not going to be made use of and we seek protection from eyes that will not cry for your sake and we seek protection from a heart that will not tremble in fear of you.

And we seek protection from astamak and the soul that will not be filled and content and we seek protection from a dua or a prayer that we make that is not answered.

And benefit us from the knowledge that you have granted us.

Honored Rulama, beloved brothers and sisters, the topic tonight is none other than knowledge as we can see.

We ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala the owner of knowledge to grant us knowledge that is beneficial and we ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to help us to be from amongst those who can earn the knowledge of this deen, the knowledge of this religion, the knowledge of this spirituality that is required of men, the knowledge of himself, the knowledge of

the life after death and the knowledge that will make us earn paradise, the knowledge that will protect us from hellfire.

That having been said, we also ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to grant us enough knowledge that we can pass our time in this world meaningfully insha'Allah.

We ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to protect us from that which is a waste of time and that which is meaningless and that which is destructive.

Honored Rulama and beloved brothers and sisters, once again, I'd like to remind one and all that Allah, the Almighty, the creator of myself and yourself is the owner of knowledge.

He is the one who decides who is going to get what type of knowledge. It is Allah's supreme independent degree.

So if someone has a certain type of knowledge, it is because Allah decided that he would permit them to have that and he chooses people whom he wants to have religious knowledge.

Allah selects them very carefully and that is a test for them and a test for us as well, the laymen.

We ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to make us from those whom when we have knowledge, we can put it into practice and teach it to others.

It is an amana, it is a trust. And trusted to us, the idea is to impart it. If anyone is to block or cover or stop or hinder the knowledge of Islam, they are sinful and they are from amongst those whom Allah will not speak to on the day of piyama because of his anger with such people.

So the knowledge of religion is not copyrighted because it belongs to the creator himself.
