Listen, for all you dads out there with daughters, this particular show is dedicated for you to you and to be honest, this guest today really came as a surprise to me because my guest today is Mattie Anderson.

2:07.0

She's actually the best-selling author of the book Girl Dad. When I was first contacted by Mattie, I had this image in my mind of this woman in her mid-40s, just another person who was the best-selling author of a book around raising daughters and an expert in it.

2:26.0

I didn't really do my homework on her probably as well as I should because when she popped up on the Zoom link, I thought I actually had the wrong person for the interview because she's a 25-year-old fresh out of college, graduated in 2019, lives in Southern California.

2:44.0

She's the oldest of three sisters and she wrote this best-selling book and you guys will hear it when I first start talking to her is that you'll notice in the first three to four minutes of her talking that this girl is this young woman is just wise beyond her years.

3:01.0

Very mature, very well spoken and she wrote this book to honor her father but what it is, it's very, very different. I know for instance like Meg Meeker, I love Meg Meeker and she wrote the book Strong Father Strong Daughters.

3:15.0

There's a lot of other books out there for dads to be better dads for daughters but they're written from adults but this one is so different.

3:23.0

It's written from the perspective of a little girl growing up from toddler to adolescence to teenage to young woman and all these amazing things that her dad did that impacted her life for the good and I've never heard this perspective before.

3:41.0

And I was so impressed with this girl's perspective, her story and what I kept thinking about over and over and over again as I interviewed her is I was like this is going to be gold for the guys out there who are raising daughters because it's not just an expert talking about how to do it but it's through the lens of someone who is directly impacted and positively impacted by a good father figure.

4:06.0

So you guys are in for a treat this particular podcast. I've also I got so pumped up to have her share some of her stories. So I invited her in as a guest speaker in the Data Alliance for this month in January so she's actually going to be hosting a Q&A with me for for all 800 of our guys who are raising daughters and for her for the guys to ask her questions on her experiences.

4:35.0

So that is today's podcast. That's what we're doing. I think you guys will get a ton out of today's show. We're just going to get right to it today. Gentlemen, and I know you will enjoy this one. My guest again, Maddie Anderson, who's the best selling author of Girl Dad Madeline. What's up? Welcome to that edge. Hey, thank you so much for having me. I'm excited to be here. I'm excited to have you. This is after almost a thousand episodes. I've never had a guest quite like you.

5:05.0

Well, I'm honored. Well, let's set the stage correctly here. So you're not a dad, correct? Correct. I am not a dad. I am a daughter. Yeah. I am a daughter of a dad who has three girls. So I have two younger sisters and he is quite the girl dad.

5:22.0

I would guess so. And just for some context, too, because before you and I hit record, I mean, we're just going through just getting to know each other a little bit. And I was just to be honest with you. I mean, obviously you're a very humble person.

5:35.0

And maybe you don't take compliments all that well. But as you're talking, I was like, my gosh, I was like, this girl just seems wise beyond her years. And the things you've already done, you've got your 25 years old and I've already written this book.
