Back in early October, I put Jeffrey's analyst Edison Lee on the pay-no-mind list because of a note that he wrote that struck me as kind of derpy.

Back then, he said people were expecting too much from next year's anticipated iPhone

18, especially given improved demand for iPhone 17, which he said was driven in part by a

price cut on the base model, which didn't actually happen.

He used that October note to lower Apple shares from perform to underperform. He also lowered his price target on the shares from

$205.82 to $205.16. Now there's this from investing.com.

Jeffries raised its price target on Apple to $283.36 from $246.99 on Wednesday,

while maintaining a hold rating on the stock.

The new target represents a modest upside from Apple's current trading price of 274.62.

Okay, I guess I really was paying him no mind.

Sometime over the last couple of months,

the firm seems to have moved Apple from sell or

underperform back to hold or perform, and raise the price target on the shares by 41 bucks.
