A lot of great feedback, a lot of different subjects we talked about throughout the course of the week. Segment number two, we know what time of year it is. We know that there's a lot of excitement, a lot of buzz around the silver and black.

But this is something that we've talked about quite a bit. Feels different. Feels different. It felt different last year. It feels different. does it feel right? We right we'll talk about that segment number two of today's locked on raiders podcast here in segment number one

news and notes of the day we'll go ahead and jump right into it and off top i want to just go ahead and

start with uh you know a correction to an error that i made on thursday when i was talking about the

locked on top 100 players list and two players

from the Raiders represented Max Crosby at number 15 and Brock Bowers at number 38.

I was talking about Brock Bowers and the phenomenal season that he had as a rookie came in at

number two on the locked on top 100, 38 overall, but number two tied in.

And then I started talking about the tight end that was behind him,

Trey McBride from the Arizona Cardinals, who came in third, 64th overall, but third tied in. And I was saying, hey, you know, and he's a rookie. He had a phenomenal year. He is not a rookie. I got a shout out to my guy Andy Turner, who reached out to me really early on Thursday by way of Twitter. It was like, you know he's been's been in the league three years. That's Trey McBride. And I'm thinking, you know what? You're right. He had a phenomenal season in 2024, put up big numbers in 2024. And, you know, you look at Brock Barrow's 112 catches. You look at McBride's 111. It just clicked in my head. Oh, there was a player that was chasing him down and the

stats were really close and I remember they were both rookies. And so I immediately just went to McBride, which no excuse for that, right? That's my bad and that should not happen. So shame on me for that. I was actually thinking of a wide receiver from the Giants, Malik Neighbors, who was a rookie in

24 and put up a phenomenal

stat line and had a heck of a year

as a rookie, 109 catches, 1,204 yards and 7 touchdowns in 15 games. And so I remember throughout the course of the year, keep looking back, looking back, looking back, it's like, man, what's this guy's numbers looking like? Because Brock is still just a little bit ahead of them on they're both rookies.

But again, there's still no excuse for that.
