Obviously, the first game of the season gets underway this Thursday with the Eagles and the Cowboys, but it gets real for the Raiders coming up on Sunday, Raiders versus the Patriots. So your calls, your text, we'll close things out, segment number three. Segment number two, we'll take a look at the game. We'll look at the betting line on this game, according to fandual.com. We'll also kind of give you a slight tail of the tape. We're not going to go through every single position, but a handful of positions and let you know why this game is much more evenly matched than a lot of people believe when they first saw it on the schedule. So we'll do a little tail of the tape coming up in segment number two here in segment number one news and notes of today, including some more roster moves that the silver and black are mating. so Labor Day is kind of like that that that benchmark that's like okay boom it's football season

it's go time we'll talk to you after the Super Bowl that's basically what it is the Raiders also

practiced on Monday as well they made a few few roster moves. We'll jump into that. They signed linebacker Brian Osamoa, the second and quarterback Jeff Driscoll to the practice squad. And they released linebacker Matt Jones, who Matt Jones, and also safety, Tray Taylor from the practice squad. They worked out a handful of players, Andrew Armstrong, the wide receiver from Arkansas, Driscoll, who they eventually signed to the practice squad from Lotech, and then Quincy Skinner, the wide receiver from Vanderbilt. So I know many were thinking, wait a minute, why would you sign quarterback Jeff Driscoll? He just went out and made a move for Kenny Pickett, and you have Cam Miller's on the practice squad as well. Multiple things here. I think that Driscoll will probably be a guy, especially early on in the season, maybe week one, week two. He'll be called up on Saturday. He'll be elevated to the roster. You know you can add two guys on Saturdays before the game. I think that Terrell Edmonds, the safety will be a guy that you'll see in that position. But I also think you'll see quarterback Jeff Driscoll.

And look, Kenny Pickett, who they just traded for, they gave up that fifth round pick to Cleveland. He's still not 100% healthy. He's actually questionable right now. We haven't got the official, you know, injury reports yet for the week. We'll start getting those throughout the course of the week, which is great to see, you know, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, I believe we'll get those, you know, those injury reports.

And so we'll be able to give you the exact status of these players. But right now he's questionable, right? He's a guy that was dealing with a hamstring injury while he was still in Cleveland. So that might not be 100% okay. So I feel like Driscoll will just be a veteran emergency quarterback if needed, right? Cam Miller is just not ready to play yet. That's the bottom line. A lot of people keep on looking at Cam Miller and tweeting at me, well, what about Cam Miller? He's just not ready to go. So just understand that, that Kenny Pickett will be the primary backup, but if he's not 100 percent, he's not ready to go right away, look for Jeff Driscoll to be elevated the Saturday before the game.
