with the news and notes, a sad piece of news. Carol Davis, the mother of Mark Davis, the wife of

Al Davis, passed away on Friday at 93 years old.

I had no idea.

Had no idea that it happened on Friday, just got the email from Mike Taylor.

And when M.T. sends out an email or when M.T. sends you a text or he calls you, it's something to pay attention to.

MT is a guy that's been with the Raiders organization for many, many, many years.

He's got all the stories.

I try to get him on the radio all the time. He's like, nah, no, no, Q, I'll keep those stories to myself. Like, he doesn't want to talk about it and talk about anything on the radio, but a really good dude, like I said, been with the organization. but when he sends out an email, it's something to pay attention to.

So he did on Sunday found out, and it said earlier today at 105 p.m. Mark Davis lit the Al Davis Memorial

Torch at Allegiance Stadium in honor of and tribute to his mother, Carol Davis. The first lady

of Raider Nation passed away on Friday afternoon at the age of 93. Her strength and resilience,

although not seen by the masses, were always on display to those

who were fortunate to be in her presence.

She was a strong woman who exuded, exuded, compassionate, and loving side.

Carol provided unbridled support and unparalleled guidance to the Davis family and the

Raiders organization for over 60 years.
