The Raiders got bad news about their starting left tackle on Tuesday,

and for the third time in five games on the offensive line,

there'll be a different starting five.

Segment number two, we know Colton Miller's going to miss some time. So how is this going to affect the team in the long haul and who will affect the most? We'll talk about that coming up in segment number two. Here in segment number one, news and notes of the day and really has a lot to do with Colton Miller as well as we found out how severe his injury was that he suffered on Sunday. So let's go ahead jump right into it. We found out by way of Ian Rappaport from the NFL network on Tuesday that Colton Miller, he received bad news on his ankle following further than testing. It's a high ankle sprain and a hairline fracture rather than just a sprain. The MRI revealed the sprain and a CT scan revealed the fracture. He's headed for injured reserve. So that's all bad, right? So if you're on injured reserve, you have to miss at least four games. That doesn't mean that's all you're going to miss, but you have to miss at least four games. So that means that he's out this week against the Colts. He's out next week against the Tennessee Titans. He's out the week after that against the Kansas City Chiefs. Then they've got the buy week. Then they come out of the by week with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He's out of all those games at least. There's no coming back until that Denver game. And the Denver game after the Jacksonville game, if you remember, if you're looking at the schedule, it's on a short week. So what's the chances that he's going to come back on a short

week as well? Again, most likely he's going to miss a good five to six weeks, maybe even a little

bit more with the high ankle sprain and the hairline fracture. Not good news for the silver and

black. So in a corresponding move, once the Raiders

placed tackle Colton Miller on injured reserve, they sent out the notice that they signed

tied in Carter Runyon, who was on the practice squad. They signed him to the active squad.

And then they also signed free agent tackle Leroy Watson the fourth to the practice squad. Watson

has been a third year tackle, joins the Raiders after spending 2024 with the Titans and the Minnesota Vikings. Watson was traded to Tennessee from the Browns in the offseason and started in four games at right tackle with the Titans before finishing the season on the Vikings practice squad. So you know what it is in the NFL? It's next man up, but it's still, it's a big blow for the Raiders in that

offensive line that's looking for continuity. They had the starting five, week one, they didn't have the starting five, week two, and week three, week four they did. They had a really good performance on the ground. It started to come together. It started to look like they were going to be, you know, a better unit and they could start to grow together, and now he's going to be out. Colton Miller is going to be out

for at least four games. So again,

I know I played this sound on tuesday's show but kirk morrison joined my radio show on tuesday to talk about the game and i asked him about colton miller if he was going to go down what was that going to be like for the silver and black i mean the charges they're down rashan slater and joe alt this the NFL man next up. You don't cry about it. Next man up. That's just the way this league is. Oh, next guy. Hey, I love Colton. I want Colton to be out there, but in this league, you can't cry about it. You got to, hey, next man up. so if it's Charles Gregg Caleb Rogers Stone Forest Life it don't matter if you own roster, it is every man up to replace our guy for a couple weeks or however how long he's going to be out. That's the mentality that you have to have. And I say that because last year, Thayer Mumford goes down. And we're like, oh, Mumford goes down. Oh, here comes DJ Glaze. Yeah. It gave him an opportunity. So now, guess what? Someone's opportunity is going to happen now because of Colton Miller. You never know what a starter may be hold another guy back, but this is how the National Football League works. Somebody's going to get an opportunity to get some quality reps. And I'm excited for who that guy is, because, yeah, we're going to look at it.
